Kundaleeswarar Venbakkam is an old temple which was lost over time. The new temple was just completed in February 2019 and Kumbabishekam had been arranged. During our visit, the new deities were all kept immersed in water as a cooling ritual in the nearby Srinivasa Perumal prior to installation. The Temple Pond is situated south of the temple where an Amman Temple with a tall Tajagopurm is present. Marundeeswarar at Thirukachur, Thulaseeswarar at Kolathur and Kundaleeswarar Venbakkam are situated in a straight line.
