Somasundareswarar Vadakkupattu is a small east facing temple which has been renovated recently and most of the idols look new. The temple is entered through a gate in the east in front of which is a temple pond and Sundaravaradaraja Perumal Temple. A single Prakaram houses all the shrines and the Sanctum Sanctorum. A temple for Koumari Amman is outside.

You can reach Somasundareswarar Vadakkupattu via the Oragadam road and taking a left after Appur under the first flyover or by going in the Walajabad Road and taking a right before Palur at Reddipalayam.
