Aadhipureeswarar Ponvilaindha Kalathoor is a small temple which dates back to the ancient times. The original niche idols are not present. The little temple is located in a shady place surrounded by trees and plants. Remnants of an entrance is seen in the form of two crude stone pillars. The lingam is large in size and you can see the god and goddess from the same spot. Ganesha and Muruga are on either side of the main deity’s entrance.

Aadhipureeswarar Ponvilaindha Kalathoor is in the fringes of Ponvilaindha Kalathoor village. After crossing the Ottivakkam railway level crossing take the left in the fork and drive for about 300 meters and ask for the temple. Aadhipureeswarar Ponvilaindha Kalathoor is very small and not visible from the road. The priest lives with his family in the adjacent house and they will be happy to open the temple for you.
