Abhimukteeswarar Nemili is a small and ancient temple. The east facing temple does not have a compound wall but is protected and regularly worshiped. The Vimaana seems to be a variation of the Gajaprashta Vimaana, but is much smaller and less grand.

Abhimukteeswarar Nemili is an ancient temple with stone inscriptions in the base around the sanctum sanctorum. Mindless renovation in the recent times in the form of a concrete path has been built a few inches above it and has somewhat obscured the epigraphs.
